Before practicing law, Attorney Matechik served the United States as an intelligence officer in the Washington, DC area for nearly a decade. He is thrilled to have returned to his native Florida to pursue his passion for law and serve the coastal communities he loves.
Attorney Matechik is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and before the United States Supreme Court. He holds a B.A. in International Affairs magna cum laude from Florida State University and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
Attorney Matechik previously served as the Chair of the Sarasota County Bar Association Elder Law Section and as the 12th Circuit Representative for the Thomas E. Penick Jr. Elder Law American Inn of Court. He is currently a proud member of the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section, Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section, and the Solo & Small Firm Section, as well as the Florida State Guardianship Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
